Maintenance

Due to air pollution, smog or other kinds of particles may be deposited on TEMPOTEST® fabric. To ensure the fabric maintains its original appearance for as long as possible, it is advisable to brush the fabric with a soft brush to remove any solid residues (e.g. bird droppings); then treat the fabric with a soap and water solution (60 ml in 4 litres of water at not more than 40 °C). Then rinse thoroughly to remove the soap completely. Avoid formation of water bags and let the fabric dry in the open air before rewind. If substances like tree resin, or similar where mould can grow, are deposited on the fabric, it is advisable to treat the fabric gently rubbing the affected area with a solution of bleach diluted in water (ratio 1:4). Do not iron TEMPOTEST® fabrics with steam, do not machine wash, and do not dry by using electrical devices. During the winter season it is advisable to store the fabric in a dry and ventilated environment. In coated fabric, bad maintenance could compromise the waterproofing. To compensate for the natural loss of water repellency over time, it is advisable to use T202 spray, available at best retailers.
