All Tempotest fabrics are treated with a special type of finishing, the result of research and development by Parà in partnership with Dupont Teflon, made up of particles which because of their nanometric size are able to anchor themselves permanently to the fabric. During the treatment process, the finish is deposited not only on the surface of the fabric, but envelopes each individual fibre, forming an impenetrable barrier without compromising the fabric's breathability. The HI- Clean finishing makes Tempotest fabrics water and oil repellent, proof against rotting and immune to the formation of mould and fungus. It also renders them highly resistant to grease and self-cleaning when it comes to dirt caused by fine dust and pollution from industrial and urban exhaust emissions. Water or oil stains are not absorbed by the highly repellent fabric and slide away without leaving a trace. Even rain, also full of polluting substances, slides off without leaving a mark and removes residues that have not adhered to the fabric thanks to the barrier formed by Hi-Clean.Not only are these properties long-lasting, exposure to the sun's rays actually helps keep the special finish active.

To support the EU Qualicheck project that is designed to provide accurate data for construction products, the European Solar Shading Organisation (ES-SO) has developed a database of solar shading materials. This database includes independently validated performance data of blind fabrics, materials and complete products to European standards so comparison between blind types and materials is simple, secure and validated.

Branded Parà Tempotest fabrics benefit from a finishing process developed in partnership with Dupont Teflon. This nanometric particle surface treatment is the fruit of research by Para for the application of solar protection. All Parà Tempotest finishing technology uses a finish that forms a molecular barrier surrounding each fibre, providing a double-action protection self-cleaning system that repels water and oil-based stains.During the production process, the product is introduced into the finishing bath named Teflon EXTREME BY PARA' as a micrometric emulsion that creates a strong bond with the fibre during the polymerization phase of the fabric to form an invisible barrier. When marks form, the highly repellent component contained in the nanoscale barrier helps water and rain to wash away the dirt. Marks are eliminated from the fabric so its beauty and performance are preserved unaltered, as well its effectiveness and wear over time.
